Georges Duran contacted me from England to receive a quote on a large number of Hewlett Packard Ink Jet Cartridges. When he received the quote for over $36, 000.00 he was pleased with the price and told me that he would like to pay with credit cards. Becoming very suspicious and never have hearing of this type of fraud I contacted the credit card companies and received authorization numbers for each card. The cards were approved, the money was then deposited into my checking account. Once it was deposited into my checking account, I then shipped the product using his FEDEX account number.
About a week later, my bank contacted me to inform me that the cards or card numbers were stolen and that I am responsible for the loss and to pay the customers whose cards were stolen. Not only did I lose the shipment, but I paid my vendor. In the mean time before I found out that this was fraudulant, Mr Duran asked for another shipment, I ordered it and then obviously had send it back to my vendor. FEDEX is expecting me to pay for the shipment because surprisingly enough, the credit card he used to setup his FEDEX account number was stolen also. I have lost over $75, 000.00. I only bought this business for $87, 000.00.
