DO NOT ORDER GHD'S FROM THIS SITE...
WHY OH WHY DID I NOT LOOK CLOSER!!!
Me & my husband checked out a number of site in search of the specific GHD set that I wanted for my birthday and found them on what at first glance looked like a professional website.
We placed the order and paid online with visa and waited for my ghds to arrive.
A few days later we were contacted via email by a 'Lisa Hill' asking if we needed help placing our order.
The first attempt we had made did not go thourgh as our computer crashed, the second did and we pointed this out to Lisa who replied saying that yes our order had been received with the cash and the ghds were on route and would take between 3-9 days, which sounded strange as the website states orders will be received within 5 days.
We checked the credit card and the tranasction was listed as 'SHUNGQIANWANGLUO SUZHOU Merchant Category: Computer Maintenance & Repair Services Not Elsewhere'. We thought this strange for a GHD Seller!!!
Once we started to look closely at the website we noticed a number of issues, not least the English which was incorrect in many places. The website also displays the PAYPAL symbol but we realised that PAYPAL was not an option on the 'payment page'
The only contact we had to follow this up was Lisa Hill's email address [email protected]
The 'Contact Us' section of the site claims that you can expect a response within 24-48hrs of course we did not receive a reply to either of our submissions.
Of the 8mails we sent Lisa Hill 2 via the Contact Us page we received 4 replies, 1) advising money received and goods sent, 2) goods would take 3-9 days 3) providing a tracking number 4) providing the shipment site to check progress of shipment. We checked the site and sure enough a shipment was on its way from China to the Uk however there was no details of final address or anything to identify it as our order. This pavkage is listed as having left UK customs on 7th September, it's now the 14th and still no show. We have decided that after 25days we won't be seeing the ghds!!!
If this posting prevents one person from buying through this site then it'll make me feel a little better about losing £88.59
