Danny Moules Threatened to release website exploits to public if I didn't work with him in fixing them

I wrote a PHP blog system and currently give it away to the public. David Moules contacted me via email explaining that he has found serious exploits in the application and that if i didn't reply to his email within a set amount of time he would release information about the exploits to the public for people to use to hack whoever is using the application. After talking to Mr. Moules he gave me a 6 month deadline to fix the exploits or he would release the information.
