Keystone is a trading name of MMS which is a trading name of Marketing Management Services Ltd, Smell a scam already, well they administer policies Underwritten by BRS International Ltd, which allegedly are Underwritten by Lloyds of London which is actually Lloyds from Chatham in Kent. you can see the problem with this story already.
So you take out and Income Protection Plan with them costing you between £30 and £40 a month per £1, 000 per month coverage. Just like I did.
There were no issues with taking it out and them taking my money. But,
When you come to claim its a different story.
I had a RTA (Road Traffic Accident) not long after taking out this policy. so when I come to claim, I was given a hard time by the staff, they were rude and condescending, even to the point that they accuse me of wrongdoing.
They told me they were going to investigate me. Proof the policy was taken out and then the accident which was not even my fault happened after taking out the policy. (Get that Accident not my fault)
The only way you can claim is by completing there claim form, first problem you have is getting a hold of a claim form, they don't like you having them.
Only after two complaints did I receive a claim form, As far as my complaint goes they sent a photocopy letter making it look like they had already sent the letter out previously.
In relation to the claim form you have to get your doctor to fill it in. You end up paying for that privilege. I didn't want it filling in they do. Still you have to pay.
Sent the claim form back with my birth certificate, They wont accept a copy. Now nothing at all from them 3 months passed since then.
Sent complaint to FOS, the FOS allow it says in the letter from MMS you can go to the FOS you cannot.
As its Lloyds they have a special deal with the FOS now I have to wait until the end of January before I can take it back to the FOS if I remain unhappy.
The people that say this policy with Keystone, MMS, Marketing Management Services, BRS International Ltd or Lloyds of London or Lloyds is good think again wait until you have to claim. Just like PPI. they will make it as difficult as possible for you to claim against the policy.
If you have a policy of there's with any of the company names i mentioned, cancel it.
If your thinking of buying a policy with these people forget it and go elsewhere. Avoid the nightmare.
