This site has rekindled my hatred of all things DS-MAX related and I thank all of you that have given up your time to further the downfall of this evil manipulative company.
I have just spent well over an hour looking through posts on this site, they have reminded me how hard it was to survive during this period.
My story is long and more than a little upsetting (to me at least) and I won't bore you with all the details as A: I have to go to work in 6 hours and have not slept yet and B: most of you reading this have been there yourself.
I saw an advertisement in the local free paper for a position at IPG imports at a new office that had just been opened. I fell hook, line and sinker for the bullsh** that I was fed by my manager JAMIE ORRICK. I was on the fast track to success and nothing could stop me. The first person in our office to make Trainer Manager (Leader) and I sold sh** out of a bag better than most. The 5's and 8's were etched in my brain and I used them as often as I could.
I had started this job in November, just as people were gearing up for Christmas. Stock would sell almost as soon as I got into the field. I don't know how it works State-Side but here in Blighty IPG is strictly buisness
to buisness selling and this helps facillitate sales to an extent. There was no better feeling than having 20 people in an office hanging on your every word and waiting to force cash on you for a product your selling for Disney. Do Disney even know about this company? Anyway, back to the topic.
When the festive period ended the good will of the customers and the decent merch also ended.
For 3 days I went back to the house I shared
with my best friends, who I had spent years living with through University and ate Pasta with Ketchup because the cupboard was bare. Jamie did allow me to sleep at his flat on the floor when things became so bad I couldn't pay the rent but this only drove me to work more for the company because I could see no way out.
I eventualy got sorted thanks to the kindness of a friend who helped me find somewhere to live and a job. I now run a pub/club and am happier than ever but have only recently had the spare capital to buy a P.C. All of you that have posted are stars and I will continue to do my part as often as I can. By the way. Those morons that will inevitibly
tell me I didn't have the right stuff should try selling space invaders games as a lead product with only a crappy ceramic carousel to back it up as a star item and be able to pay the rent, eat and have a life.
