I am writing on behalf of my 18 year old son, he has been very gullable he sold a x box on gumtree in good faith did everything he should have assuming he was going through paypal as that is what the scammer wanted him to think. He followed all the instructions got proof of postage etc told money would go into his account once they got proof of postage but this was not the case he lost £80 and his x box feeling very foolish he was very worried also he was getting very threatening E Mails about the police coming to our house which was very worrying. My son doesnt earn very much money as an apprentice and he was going to use the money to pay for a passport for a holiday which he has been saving for. I dont think this sort of thing should be happening it is not very good publicity for ebbay or paypal as somebody found it very easey to scam a honest young boy who works hard to earn his money and cannot afford to loose £80.
