Streetwise Automotive (Bristol) convinced me to go for their full service on the promise that I would get a free MOT. When it came to paying they charged me 50 for the MOT (which they advertise seperately for 35!).
When I questioned this, they said their prices were "from..." and the increased cost was because I had an expensive fuel filter fitted. eh? On the invoice the fuel filter cost isn't shown to increase the cost of the service, the increase in cost is clearly stated as a 50 charge for the 'free' MOT.
Something dodgy's going on at this garage.
When questioned they refused to admit any liability, saying "That's how much it costs" and "You wont get it cheaper elsewhere". Actually, they are (on average) 50 more expensive than most garages in the area, so now I can see why they keep their 'free' MOT cost a secret!
Avoid Streetwise Automotive (Bristol, UK).
