Elite Limos
False Allegations

I organised a limo to take 12 people up to London for my friends stag do on 27th July. The Limo turned up on time however the driver wasn't dressed in his smart clothes so we had to wait 5 mins. Whilst waiting some of the party decided to have a smoke before we entered the limo. At that point the driver had changed his top half but was still in casual clothes below. He came out and spoke to myself and said 'Do all your members smoke' at which I replied 'no' then the driver said 'oh well if they do want to smoke they can for a fee of £30' I declined his offer due to thinking thats not legal. Anyway that sort of passed and we got into the limo only to realise that the air conditioning didn't work. We asked the driver who said he wasn't sure why it wasn't working and that he'd never driven this limo before. So we all ended up sliding down to the back of the limo with the windows down. We also brought a supply ofsandwichs for the trip to consume on the way home, however there was a notice saying we couldn't eat on board which we obeyed and thesandwichs were air tight and wrapped in a bag. After a long journey due to traffic and no air-con we had finally made our destination. We had a quick photo and then all jumped to go to the comedy store. The driver looked in the back and said 'Have you got everything' at which I replied 'yesthank youu'. I took the driver mobile number and he said 'I will see you later for your pick up'. We all went off to the comedy store and had a really good time. When coming out I realised i had a missed call and an answer phone message which was the driver asking me to call him at about 10:30pm. When I called him back I was bombarded with a barrel of abuse with words such as the C*** word and many more. He said we had smoked on board and broken a speaker in the limo. I was absolutely shocked to beaccused of these remarks. He told me that he wasn't going to pick us up as we had trashed the limo. I wasn't sure if he was having a laugh or not! The average age of us all is around 40 and we are all professional people. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and nor could the others in our party. I rang the boss of the company who immediately sided with the limo driver. So we all had to find our way home from other alternatives.

The next day I rang back and the general manager of thecompanyy (Ian) said he'd seen the limo and was disgusted with the state of it. There was Tuna and sweetcorn all over the TV, Windows and all over the seats. Again I could not believe what I was hearing. I said 'Ian I think we have been done over by you driver, the limo was spotless when we had left it and know food was opened at all! The only thing we had was there cheap bottle of sparkly wine the had provided. I said to Ian how well do you know this driver at which he said he had worked for us for 6 years. I said well thats not what he told me. He said he works for A1 Limo hire and that he'd been contracted out last minute. He then said well all the drivers are contractors at which point I asked for the drivers full name. He could only provide me with his first name. At which Iresponsed well you can't know him that well. The company have withdrawn money from my account for damages but luckily I'd paid the deposit on my credit card and now they are investigating the firm. I have also written a formal complaint to the firm and will be taking them to the small claims court if nothing is resolved. I booked the Limo through Limo hire world! So whatever you do, dont use elite limos!
