Stratstone - Aston Martin
Mis sold goods

After 4 years of saving I looked for my dream car and found it. Being cautious, I specificaly purchased from an Aston Dealer who has a program called 'Assured', which reassured me tremendously. I enquired about the car and I specificaly asked had it had any paintwork or damage and on the tghree occasions, there salesman assured me it hadnt, so I procceeded to buy my dream car.

I purchased an Aston Martin N400 Vantage on 25th May for £75, 000. I collected the car on the evening of the 28th May. I noticed a shaking from the car while the salesman drove it for a few mile. After the question of what they do prior to a car leaving the garage, I was assured of the rigerous work the mechanics do prior to hand-over. So I thought all Astons shake. Driving that evening to my holiday, an engine warning light came on. I consulted the handbook and called the dealer, I left a message and today I'm still waiting for a call back. I rang the following two days and left more messages. I finally spoke to a salesman on the 30th, discussed the engine warning light and I was told it must be as a result of putting supermarket petrol in my car, which I haven't. That week the warning light kept appearing.

That week I was on holiday and I washed my new pride and joy to find a very dull front end. To my amazement, the car was rough with overspray where it was dull. It had been sprayed.

I met with the salesman and the sales mmanager of the Wilmslow Aston dealership, who sympathised with the problems and the lack of proffesionalism that had been displayed. I explained that from the outset I didnt want a car thats had any bodywork damage or spraying. They asked what would I like to happen and I explained that under no circumstances do I want this car due to bodywork being done and repaired badly, engine problem and a gearbox problem (car shaking diagnosis). I asked for them to take the car back and I would be willing to find a replacement similar car. Unfortunatly, the car is one of only 240 made and the likelyhood of finding another was too slim. They agreed that a refund would be the best option and when the dealer principal arrives off his holiday, they would endorse this. I explained that my second choice of car was for sale and there sales manager told me to enjoy the experience of it and he hopes I would come back another day.

The Aston martin dealer principal has arrived back off his holiday and I have had a call from him explaining he will look into the matter and he rejects anything his sales manager has told me. I bought an alternative car for £80, 000 on the strength of his acceptance of problems.

I am know feeling very scared that I wont get my money returned.

I awaight a period of a further 7 days, is this reasonable??
