I started working with this restaurant in Liverpool 1, Merseyside, U.K as Sous Chef this is one restaurant chain which boast a lot one of the worst restaurant to work with, to start with it does not have enough staff there were 2 Indians running the show Pradeep Silgar the Head Chef boasted to be the higgest paid HEAD CHEF in the chain, and one of the SOUS CHEF HEMANT who was considered to be the best employ was always in the phone talking to his family members he used to talk all day long that even O2 the cell phone service provider wanted to use him in research as to what he spoke all day long and what are the consequenes of using the cell phone but still he was the best and no one bothered to ask him any question, so the walking fridge is situated upstairs and they dont have a proper elevator my day used to start at 9 am and end at 1 am pastmidnight with only 10 min breaks at times we had 2 kitchen helpers who did not consider themselves less than any chef, but the most hard working they were indian students working for more than 20 hrs a week as compared to u.k immigration law they were supposed to be working only 10 hrs a week starting at 9 am every day a chef on duty had to set up the entire kitchen load everything in the box elevator send the elevator down and empty go back again and do the same thing at least for 2 hours same time prepare the sauce and entree all by one chef on duty apart from that he has to do the stores recieving and setting up the store worst case they did not have enough utensils, no can opener so we had to use knives to open the can which was very time consuming, on requesting for equipments the area manager Andy Jones " SAYS THE CHEF NEEDS NO UTENSILS IF HE KNOWS HOW TO COOK" amazing isnt it its the most bussiest restaurant as they have the Echo Arena were u have shows on evening and there is no limit for reservation and how the guest are seated all the GENERAL MANAGER: DARREN is only worried about revenue no matter how the chefs are getting the food out is not his concern the chef is the one cooking, cleaning, barking orders, utility all in one for what they pay you and Head Chef says we have enough staff, all struggling at same time all i want to say is just because of few INDIANS the entire restaurants working enviroment is screwed and thats what we Indians are known for. Please no matter how much these guys pay you dont join them as they are interested in making money at your expense and your health for this reason no head chef from the chain wants to come and join the liverpool and finaly the head chef pradeep got fired for no mistake of his so all this efforts did not help him either so think before you join
