Internet Scam

I was told that I was a beneficiary of a Mrs. Margret Edward and was asked to send in c/o Western Union 920.00 dollars to a Jamie Alexa and a Mr. Robinson to release a fund in CitiBank for 3 million dollars but when I sent the 920.00 dollars they informed me that I had to send an additional 2, 900.00 dollars to send the fund. I was not informed before about the additional money I had to send and find it difficult to send it. I would like to know if this is a scam and have lost the 920.00 dollars I sent to Jamie Alexa.
