Upfront fees for loan

I applied on-line for a loan and was initally accepted, I received a letter requesting me to call their offices and was told a fee of £59 was required. I asked why they wanted it now and not when loan was processed. I was told loan has been processed through to their lender and I had to pay money upfront, so I gave my debit card no and £59 was taken from my account. I received another letter advising that their lender would be sending me through forms within 3-5 days, it is now 11 days and every time I call their offices, I get told to wait couple of days and if I don't receive them then I should call them back for instructions on what to do. I get told the same thing every time I call.

Also annoying is as soon I applied for loan on line and was initially accepted, I received about 12 calls from lenders, none of which are associated with Wentworth but all tried to hassle me into completing applicatin with them over the phone.

A real pain is that their customer service no. has always got 27, 23 or 21 people in front of you when you call... you could spend hours waiting to get through.

A television programme on upfront fees mentioned writing to the Ministry for Justice. Even if you don't get money back, at least they've been notified.
