Whilst on an overseas business trip in Alburquerque May I made 3 international calls the maximum lasting approximately 36 minutes to may family in Scotland. I used the hotel room phone at the Doubletree Hilton and had to go throught a switchboard who made the connection they asked if I wanted to pay by credit card or call collect without giving any information of the charges. I opted for collect call my partner accepted the collect call and she was not told of the chrages. We have just recieved the phone bill and we have been charged over £500 GB for these 3 calls. The phone calls work out at about £5 per minute, I feel we have been totally scammed these calls are almost the cost of the return airfare to Albuquerque. I would like some compensation from the phone company involved but I am not sure how to go about it
