I received a letter stating I had won 2, 249, 366 (or something in that region). At first it does look quite genuine, but reading through it, they wanted me to send a cheque for 20 to release the winnings.
Surely, if there was a release fee, why can't they send the cheque and take the releaes fee off it before sending?
Another thing that made me notice that it was a scam, was that the letter came from las vegas, the return address is in emborough- uk, but if you want your name taking off the mailing list you need to send a letter to Florida. Wouldn't everything be done within the same offices? And if its the EUROPEAN bureau of prize draw registry why are there addresses for the USA?
