Multi-level marketing organisations, and the stigma attached to their recruitment, have been around since the 1980's. In the current economic climate it is evident that these companies are on the rise, increasing unemployment is proving a strong catalyst for the growth in the UK.
The business structure is without doubt unsustainable but still thousands of people get roped into working 70 hours a week on a commission only basis, due to the prospect of fantastic but unrealistic earning potential when management status is achieved.
The main reason this global network of companies exists, despite its serious lack of integrity, is due to the lack of available information.
It appears very easy to understand why the business opportunity should work, but very difficult to work out why it does not.
