Most websites advertising this launderette, including yell.com, allinlondon.co.uk as well as others, show 18 o'clock or 20 o'clock as a closing time on Sundays. I took screenshots of the relevant websites today.
You can imagine my disappointment when I frequented this launderette today and placed my washing into a dryer at around 16:30, only to return the launderette at 17:20 to find it shut down. I work in the Monday to Friday to normal office hours, so I will only be able to pick my clothes up only in the evening - and they better be still there!
i now cannot trust the opening hour information for week days either, and once the laundry is shut down with the shutters down, ther eare no opening hours to see from the outside.
in addition to that, three of the dryers (out of 7 dryers) have been "out of service" for quite a while now with no attempt made to fix them. this leads to customers having to wait for a free dryer not due to all of them being full, but more and more of them being not working. this standard is not acceptable.
moreover, there is rarely any living person in the laundry, in case a customer needs help with a machine or something breaks down. this gives opportunity to accidents and theft (as i say, i expect to still find my clothes there tomorrow evening! not an easy task if other consumers may need the specific dryer i left them in due to the others being faulty, and no person observing what is going on!)
today, a human being in charge was present for a change. when i asked about the broken dryers, i got the response that she had told that to "her" (presumably a boss) but "she does not care". Moreover, I had not been advised by this person about any closing times approaching although she saw be filling the dryer. I expect staff to point these things out if ther may not be enough time left.
last but not least, i found no email address or telephone number to directly contact the business online about these matters.
