I recently just left my job at celica/modo marketing wondering what the hell i was ever doing taking it in the first place. firstly i didnt even remember applying i think they just go to job sites and invite anyone for an interview. they advertise they are looking for quality individuals that includes appearance aswell as personality but when i started my job the people that worked there were people i could only imagine no one would employ. There was no salary only 100% commision and in my interview i was garunteed i would make at least 250 a week and that was just for starters. at the interview i was pretty much lied to about what i would be doing exactly it sounded like an important job with unlimited benifits when in actual fact it was standing in shopping centres selling stuff and not half decent ones small run down community ones. After the managing director had told a pile of lies and implied there was a basic telling me id make 250pounds till i got good then i would move up2 aroung 500 i left my job and started and i could not believe what i had walked into it was like a cult of absolute idiots jumping up and down it was so unprofessional i was then told it wouldnt be the origanal 9 to 5 it would be 7.30 till late then i was told i had to pay all my own travelling with some days cos up to 20 then told it wasnt monday to friday it was monday to saturday i felt so stupid i had just gave up a perfectly good job to come here then at 11am we set out to go to the "field" aka the shopping centre i had already been at the office from 8am and as i had just found out it was commision based on sales i had worked 3hours for free when we arrived at the shopping centre i heard one of the girls moaning n groaning that her wages the week befor were 40 and that was for 6 days work i wouldnt believe it after a hard day in the field no1 had did any sales and that was probably because the place were they put us there was no people as it was a small poor areas shopping centre with about 3 shops we headed back to the office where the managing director of celica made a sleazy comment to me followed by another girl saying oh thats just nicki it was so unprofesional, after my 1st week had went in i had only made about 80 that was 6 days work from 7.30 am and some night i wasnt getting home till 8pm i went in the following week asking where my wages were and was told i had 2 weeks lie time which no1 informed me then eventually when i got my wages they were only 60 i had been informed my the so called managing director of modo i had been whats called mystery shopped and failed it and told not to worry she then told me it was the sale i had got in east kilbride that was my mystery shop when i knew she was lying because it was my friend that had taken pity on me and sighned up to get me a sale so i was pretty much scammed out of money. for reasons unknown to myself now i stayed for a few months every week was up and down but i was finding it hard to get a new job i was told i was accumulating company bonds about 400 due to having a low cancellation rate but funnily enough when i left and phoned up about them she couldnt remember telling me i had that much because she had made a mistake and apparently all my customers the full 5months had cancelled. I felt so sick with myself for being so stupid and naive and getting myself scammed like that overall the company was unprofesional and ran by sleazy liars that would do anything for a quick penny if anone has the displeasure of being offered an interview with any of these companys or any other of the COBRA ran companys please run as fast as you can in the opposite direction.
