BRITS BEWARE Please stay well clear of a company named English International, based at The Tay, Leeds. Having seen yet another of their adverts on here I need to warn you before you consider contacting them... Their websites are englishinternational.info and havefunteaching.co.uk Very poorly ran company sending people to China to teach English. Violent (one teacher threatened at knife point in order to make sure he paid money owed) Greedy (they take 2/3 of your wages every month you are there) Lying (they promise you weeks of training which never comes) During my time in China they made my life a misery. They are taking advantage of the economic climate in UK and the fact that many Brits cant speak Chinese. They lie about how much your salary is, then half that sum as well for 4 months, leaving you with very little. The schools they pick for you are normally in the middle of nowhere, with class rooms packed with upto 50 children. One guy I know, they even had lined up to lecture at a university in Shanghai. This is just a regular guy with not even one minutes training or experience!! With this in mind he left less then 14 days after arriving. They are based in Shenzhen, South China, and plan to send around 500 people within the next month or so for the new Chinese semester. They dont care about you, the schools, the children or the parents, just their own back pockets. You go there thinking its a big organisation... its not! Its just three incompetent people who dont have enough time to look after your needs let alone 500! Stay clear of them at all costs. If you already have planned to go with them then please reconsider. It really isnt as hard as you would think to make a go of it on your own if you have already bought flights etc. Websites like E-China cities have many English speaking schools with English speaking principles. Many brits have gone over and come back within a month due to their neglectful manner costing? 500 . They lie about getting working visas and also refunding visa/flights. They place you in awful accomodation (one guy I know got things stolen from him within days of moving). Everyone I have met is disillusioned about the way they go about the company and not many still work with them. China is a great place and these people are running a mock.
