Letter of award of £500, 000.00

I recieved a letter dated 7th September telling me that i had been awarded £500, 000.00 from an account numbered 276287095. That they had been desperately trying to find me with this award & I had only 7 days to return the enclosed form along with a cheque from myself to release the money from them. How do these people get hold of details for such as myself as i live in UK & know no one at all in Canada!!! I reallly feel for those who are less cautious than myself, surely with all the complaints against them for this they can be STOPPED.
