Swoopo
Scam

Swoopo is a total scam. I spent £100 yesterday as a trial and closely monitored several auctions. My findings and irregularities are:

Any auction that you put into your watch list and then bid on has an increased rate of traffic.

I put 3 identical auctions for a '300 bid voucher' into my watch list.

I did not bid on 1 and it sold for £14.47

I put a couple of bids on another, it went to £36.49

The last one I placed 100 bids - it went all the way to £52.79 and cleared out my account via the bid butler function!

The bid butler is supposed to bid against the opposition for you, in the last 10 seconds and will not bid if you are winning. Interstingely, I followed another auction for a camera. It had a very low bid rate and was regularly running down into the last 10 seconds and being updated by single bidders. I placed a bid butler for 20 bids at that time and as soon as I did, my 20 bids were placed in a second against another 'new' player who had not previously bid and who had a bid butler final bid, 1 higher than mine. Coincidence? I don't think so, I watched that auction for almost an hour and it was all single bids until my bid butler. It would have been impossible for someone to fill their bid butler boxes quick enough to counter my first bid as all the 20 were placed against the 'other' player in less than 1 second.

I watched several others and saw them go for pennies. Just try bidding on them and watch them shoot up!!

SCAM SCAM and SCAM again!! And totally un-regulated. Don't waste your money!!

Hope this helps
