Microsoft Internet User Promo, Award of one million pounds

On 31 July this Company informed me that I have won one million pounds sterling on the Microsoft Usernet Promo, held on the 30th July in Manchester, United Kingdom. After exchange of information about the authenticity of the Company I gave my personal details on 2nd Aug. [Name: Moreshwar D. SANT, Address: 14 rue Croix du Levant, 1220 Les Avanchets, Geneva, Switzerland, Tel. No. 41227965112.] I was asked to pay $750.00 for delivery of the award at my residence, through a diplomat, named Ms. Lynn Margaret. I paid £685.00 through Western Union Money Transfer Service, costing me Sw. Fr. 966.00 on 6th Aug. Ms. Lynn Margaret sent me an e-mail on 8th Aug., purportedly from Heathrow Airport, saying that she was at the airport and British Internal Revenue Service wanted her to pay £12000.00 as HVCC tax @ 1.2% of the prize money. I replied that the whole opration seemed bogus to me, I should get a refund of Sw. Fr. 966.00 which I had paid earlier and I refused to pay any more money in this affair. One Mr. Rudy Sharpe, claiming to be Security Officer of the Microsoft Corporation, UK, wrote to me on 14th Aug. saying that it was he, who had initially replied from the Microsoft Corporation saying that the matter was bogus (which had prompted me earliar to reply to Ms. Lynn Margaret), but it was not so and the matter was in fact very real, I had in fact won one million pounds and I should now pay £12000.00 as tax for exporting the prize money. I refused to pay. I said if the matter was real and serious he should send me a copy of the Microsoft Corporation decision of my winnings, he should deal with me by postal correspondence and make all money transactions by bank transfers. He said e-mails from Microsoft are secure and there is no need to worry. I continued to refuse to pay and suggested that he should use £685.00 which I had already paid and send me a partial prize which the British Internal Revenue Service would permit to export. I sent him a copy of my passport (Indian Pasport No. J8642999 issued on 11 July), which He said is needed by the Internal Revenue Service. He also said that as Indian national, India being part of the British Commonwealth, only 0.2% tax is levied in my case and I should pay additional £1315.00: I refused to pay the addl. amount and asked him to send £342, 500.00 which can be exported by paying £685.00 as tax. the matter stands there. I am afraid that Mr. Rudy Sharpe may present my passport to your service and claim permission to send the entire amount of one million pounds to me and in fact not pay me anything. He has already indicated to me that prize money cannot be paid partially and that the whole transaction has to be completed within thirty days of the initial notification of the winnings, i.e.by 30 August.

I request you kindly to be vigilent and make sure that the permission granted to him to export my prize winning is no more than what can be permitted by payment of £685.00. If permission is granted to export the full prize money of one million pounds because he pays full amount of tax of £2000.00, he should be asked to prove that the full amount was in fact exported and paid to the real winner viz. myself (Mr. SANT MORESHWAR D.). Thank you.

Moreshwar (Bal) SANT

p.s.

I shall provide such other details as you may wish in this case. But I want this Company to be brought to books. I have seen many ceses of fraud committed by this Company, when I went for the first time yesterday to their address on Internet. I wish I had done this earlier.
