I signed up for a three day trial of music crawler (£3.25). At the time I must admit that I had not read their policy on automatically charging my credit card for 1 year's subscription if I did not cancel within three days. After downloading the software I found that I could not connect and contacted their customer support. I was told that (reasonably and in a short time) that this was not their problem, which was down to my antivirus/firewall etc and managed to fix the problem that afternoon, but when I tried to log on that evening I received another error message saying that I could not download the file I was looking for. I contacted the support team again that evening and again the next day (the support is only open 9.00 - 5.00). I received no response by early afternoon the next day and decided that (because I knew I was going to not be able to access the internet the next day, which I had already explained in my support request emails) I would cancel my trial. I eventually recieved a support email late afternoon asking for further information but by this time I had already cancelled the account as I was fearful of being locked into the annual fee subscription the next day. I requested a refund on my trial fee but was told that this was not possible. I asked if there was someone I could write to to complain and was told no. So I end up loosing my trial fee without having received any sort of service. It would have been nice if they could have let me have some additional time to get access or something. So.. unless you are able to dedicate your three days trial to making sure you get the thing working I would not bother!
