I am writing on behalf of two elderly neighbours who had a mattress delivered (cost: £35.00) on Saturday, September 11 at approximately 1430hrs. The young man who delivered the mattress (from Teddington branch) was asked if he could take the old unwanted mattress downstairs (flat) to the garage. The delivery man flatly refused to assist my neighbours, one of whom has cancer and the other has difficulty walking and couldn't possibly drag a mattress down a flight of stairs. This young man (who also had an assistant waiting in the van) said it was not his job to do this. What kind of a person does this? This "service" is disgusting and there is a letter on the way to the Managing Director of Dreams with full delivery details as several of their neighbours were appalled and disgusted with the ignorant behaviour of this person. The only difference between my neighbours and this moron delivery person is that they got to old age first. Shame on him and I hope one day when he's infirm he isn't treated the same way as my neighbours.
