McDonalds
Poor Service and double standards

On the 5th May i attended olten Mcdonalds in the West midlands. i decided to go through the drive thru because i was collecting orders for people from my office. I had a 5 orders in total all consisting a simple meals. After paying for my meals i went to the second window where i received my drinks straight away, of which two were milkshakes, i was told to go and wait in the waiting bay. Before i left the window i inquired on how long it would be and which item i was waiting for? to which the young lady replied your waiting on your fries and it will be around 4 minutes. After the first 10 minutes of qwaiting i decided that i would go up to the window and ask how much longer. I also needed some sauces for our meals. I asked for 4 ketchups and 2 BBQ sauce. The young lady then replied i am going to have to charge you for the sauces. This was a great surprise because i have had Mcdonalds all around the world and never paid for a ketchup in my whole life, and due to the fact i was having 5 meals i did not think this was unreasonable. However the employee asured me that because i was not having chicken nuggets i was not aloud any free sauces. I then asked her when this had been brought into Mcdonalds and she said it had been a compnay policy for the last 2 years. This completely dumbfounded me because only last week i had been to the same Mcdonalds and have a meal and received 3 ketchups without payment. I had also been to two other Mcdonalds in England where i had not had to pay for sauces. I then gave up and paid 5 p for each sauce. I then waited another 10 minutes before my food came out to the car. In total i had waited exactly 22 minutes for my food. Whilst i had been waiting another 10 customers had been served all of whom had received fries and meals. This also puzzled me because why are other people getting there food when i had been there first? Do Mcdonalds not serve on a first come first serve basis? Anyway, by the time my order was delivered to my car and i had got back to work (a two minute drive) the milkshakes were "watery" and the food as cold. The worst thing about it though is that when my food came i did not recieve an apology and when i called her back the lady completely ignored me. Overall i doubt i will be ever going to Mcdonalds again as i just feel like they do not respect the people they are serving or give them any notice about changes they maybe making in there prices.
