This is a copy of an e-mail communication I had with an individual claiming to be a wholesale supplier of plasma TVs.
There is no internet record to verify that the individual is a valid supplier or that his company exists either. The insistance for western union payment in full prior to recieving the item seemed out of character for his company that claims $10m in assets/funds. C.O.D. should not have been an issue.
I recieved an e-mail response to a post I placed on a wholesale website. The prices on the items were very good. I responded back to find out more info., and to check availability. Also to get some verification information. I told Mr. Fetcherh the units that I was interested in. I included my shipping and billing info..
I also told him that I would verify all information before placing an order and sending any money. And this is what followed:

Fetcherh; I have spent over an hour trying to find "GLOBAL GREY SHIPPERS" on the Internet. As far as I can tell the company does not exist. I have even searched the business listings in Cardiff, UK and found nothing. This is unusual, that a company that claims to have been established for 15 years and there is no trace that they exist.
If the company is legit and the shipment is delivered to me - I will then make payment to you in full. I must take precautions to insure that this transaction is genuine. As I already stated - I just lost $1000 USD to a similar situation. OA

Well they are legitimate company and if you have any relations in U.K they can check them up.
We are going to tell the shipping company to cancel the shippment if we dont hear from you by the end of today. We have two options for you. Firstly you can send any of your friend or relations to come to our office and pay in cash and see our inventory or Send the payment today via western union.
Perhaps you could also let us cancel the order and when you are ready to take a large order you can fly down and we do business face to face.

Fetcherh, I may owe you a HUGE apology, at this point I don't know. I have searched for verification of Global Grey Shippers existence and have not found anything. I even called US Customs and they had no record of the company. I have taken this precaution due to having fallen victim to a seller that used a fake TNT shipping site that was very convincing. I sent the $1000 and then it was gone. I received no product and lost my money. If I am in error where Global Grey is concerned, I will pay you an additional $100 when the merchandise arrives. I promise and give my word that I will do that. But you must understand that I have found that many fraudulent sellers on Alibaba give themselves in their e-mail correspondence, by changing their story. I felt certain that you were trustworthy because you have excellent grammar and sentence structure and most importantly you have been consistent. In fact I would have sent the payment with due diligence had the shipping company had been verifiable. I apologize for feeling that this is a necessary inconvenience. Sincerely; OA

I had to have an emmergency meeting with my partners here on your order but quite unfortunately we can't proceed. They did not give approval for the order to be delivered without payment and its beyond my jurisdiction.
The only way now is for you to come up with at least 50% and I am very sure they would accept that. I told them I am sure your a genuine buyer and you would be continous buyer that for sure would yield the company profit but as they say sir action speaks louder.

After all your company bio states that your company earns over $10 million annually. A minor delay in payment such as this should be of little concern to a company that earns such revenue. OA

I understand your concern. Firstly let me explain our company structure to you. Truly we are worth about $10 Million but we have diffrent parasatal and franchise. We have Oil and Gas sector, Telecommunication sector, Food and beverage sector and Finally the retail sector which I am a director.
My earlier mail is the best i can do sir but its quite unfortunate you can't proceed and i understand your concerns as there numerous cons out there. Hopefully we would be opening a retail branch in the US later this year and perhaps you might have the privilegde to go and purchase there in person.

Summary: The Items where never recieved - And I never really expected them. The seller claimed that the units where in transit and that they could not be retrieved by him. Then later, the seller stated that he was canceling the order.
