I was advised to pay in full for the NVQ2 course (1499 Pounds) to secure my place. However all conversations before that I mentioned that I was currently working in Maldives and a citizen of South Africa and would hence need to apply for a visa in order to attend the college. I requersted the documentation that would be required for visa application purposes of which i was e-mailed my payment notification. I then flew to Sri Lanka to apply for my student-study-visitor visa. After having had to wait in Sri lanka for 4 weeks my visa was declined on grounds that "You have proposed to study at The Beauty Academy however this institution does not meet the criteria of an education institution that is permitted to accept overseas students as defined by the
lmmigration Rules, Therefore I am not satisfied that you have been accepted on a course of study
(Paragrap5h6 k (iiH) C3 95a s amended).
The Beauty Academy in return refused to refund me and offered that i could attaned the course when i have the visa - however they are not permitted to accepts overseas students!
I find this an absolute scandal!
