Domenick Mucci was selling a bike. It was being advertised in a book call Cycle Trader. He had listed a phone number and e-mail address. I tried to phone him but the phone was out of order. I e-mailed him and with than hours he e-mailed back. I asked him was the bike still for sell. He said yes and it was in good condition and he need to sell it to pay for him and his wife honeymoon. I asked for a contact number so that we could talk about the bike. He wrote back that he had been in an accident last month and he couldn't hear out of his hear and he wouldn't understand me. He than mentioned that he was not in the US right now, and that he would have the bike shiped to me and the expenses would be include into the bike price. I asked him was the price of the bike still $4000 US dollars. He responsed with yes and any expenses would be included. I talked him down to $3800 and he agreed. He than told it would be only $3700 because of the way I had to said the money, which was money gram. Ok that was ok with me and him at the time. He told he would ship the bike off the next day and he did, think. He gave me a confrimation tracking number to check on at intermoversworld.com, which lead me to believe that the deal was real.
In the these were the rules:
1) He will contact the shipping company to come to his house to pick up the bike.
2) the shipping company will inspect the bike, so he counldn't send me a box or anything else.
3) He would insure the bike in the full amount.
4) after he would give me the tracking # i will have 24hours to make the first payment that means ($1, 900).
5) i will receive the bike to your home adress in 7-8 days.
6) after i receive the bike i will have 3 days to inspect the bike and then i will have to send him the rest of amount ($1, 800).
7) if i see a scratch or i didn't like the bike i will need to contact the shipping carrier and
they will cometo my home address they will get the bike from me and give me the
money back
8) the payment it will be done trough Via MoneyGram.
Like i saad before I accepted the deal. After I sent the frist payment I tried to contact the shipping company by phone and I couldn't get throught so I e-mailed. I told that I wanted to check on a large package that was being shipped to me and when will I get it. The company tells me that I would have to send the rest of the moneyy to them before I could get the bike. So at the point I'm very upset, because for one the owner of the bike didn't explain to me that deal was supposed to be handled like this. Second, the company wants me to send the money under someones name, not the company. Now if you know Money Gram like I know money gram I know if this was a really company they would have acount with money gram. Why do I have have to send it under some ones name and why is the phone not working. I e-mail and asked them for a US number also, they told me the lines were down. So that means I couldn't talk to no in in the US neither the UK. I than want to calll the deal of because he broke the contract. I asked him to send my money back. first he trys to talk me out of it and than he tells me he is only giving me $1050 back. He said he needed to keep $850 for shipping. I told him no, that would not be right becuse he broke the contract and didn't bother to tell me. He told me that he would send the $1050 the next day money gram. He never sent the money. I e-mailed that same day. He didn't answer back for two days. He tells me that his wife was in a accident andhe needed a few weeks to get my money. I have e-mailed him a number of times and he will not answer back.
