Taking money without authorisation

This company has been taking money from my mums bank account for 9 months without permission. She never gave them her details, we do not know how it happened. Contacted them today and they told us the account had been cancelled via email on 21st of Feb, How did she cancel it without being able to login to an account that she didn't know about/have details for. This company is engaged in internet and financial services fraud. Do not use their free credit check facility (not that my mum did) as it will make it easier for them to continue these deceiptful practices?
