I recently had a pop up on my computer inviting me to sample natureberry and vitalitycleanse. These products CLAIM to have outstanding results in weight reduction and as a health supplement. The trial cost about £4 each. i agreed, gave credit card details, and received the tablets. To my horror, when my credit card account arrived, a further £75 had been taken for each product & yes £150 almost. You could call it a scam -- I do. It appears somewhere in the small print it states that you must contact viv3lab within 15 days and cancel your contract if you do not wish to subscribe.
I contacted my credit card company but it is too late. They have been swamped with similar calls.
These people are so cunning. They failed to even send an invoice when they debit your credit card a/c with £150 after the 15 days supposed trial.
Had I received an invoice, it would brought to my attention what their game was.By the time my credit card a/c arrived the 30 day return period had expired and I had no comeback.
All this is in the 20 pages of terms and conditions and who is going to read all that when all you wanted to do was try a free sample.
The European trade standards tell me the Company is about to be struck of the Companies register but as one of their former employees posted, they just start up with a different trading name.
He also says they buy these little boxes of capsules for approx £5 and trick people into paying £75 for them. How devious are these people and how can they get away with it.
I have been made redundant recently and am kicking myself for being so stupid.
