Acai Berry Detox
Extra Charges to Account

I naively ordered the free trial which cost $3.99 per bottle of Acai Berry Detox and Life Cleanse. I did not know at that time it was a scam. I received the two bottles and tried them for 4 days before checking out online through the address on the bottle how to order more. I found this website with 25 pages worth of complaints so I phoned my bank and cancelled my credit cards. It didn't matter, they had already put a charge through for another $131 the same day I cancelled the cards. The bank let the charge through (even though I had reported it as fraud) because they said this company has a 15-day trial period within which you MUST cancel or else they will continue to charge you.

I called the number 011-44-2031399027 and spoke with Angela. She said the trial begins the moment you order the bottles. I said it's not a trial until I receive it and actually TRY it. She said the company policy states you have 15 days from the date you order it to cancel. Otherwise, they have authorization to continue to debit your credit cards, bank, etc. for future charges. I said they charged me $131 4 days after I received the product. That's not even 15 days for a trial period. Incidentally, the reason they charged the $131 wasn't because they were sending any more bottles, but because they have it in their policy that you will pay 79 pounds for the bottles you already received (UK pricing, tralsates to $131 in Canada). There is no real trial period for the product. They just want your credit information.

I argued that they charged me $131 for 2 FREE bottles that I had already actually PAID for. That means I was actually charged twice for these 2 FREE bottles. Angela said she would place a memo to the credit dept. of her company to refund the 79 pounds, but doesn't think it will happen because they never give refunds for any reason. She said I will hear from them within 48 hours, which hasn't actually happened yet.

My bank thinks I am at fault for agreeing to a 15-day trial after which the Viv3 has my authorization (supposedly) to keep charging me monthly. It seems there is no way I can win against these people. Does anyone have any ideas on how best to fight them fairly and win?
