Failing to provide experience

I was given a gift voucher for a clay shoot experience from adventure 001

Having looked at the locations available I called and booked my experience several weeks in advance, at the time I was told that the cost had increased so I was asked to pay the extra using my switch card, I was a little unhappy about this but did so anyway. I was then told that because the booking was made so early there should be no problem with my reservation and that I would be contacted nearer to the date with details of the location and start time.

Several weeks passed without any contact, eventually I logged in to their website to see if my booking was confirmed only to find that nothing had been booked, I emailed asking why.

A day or two later I was contacted by a man who told me he had received my mail but couldn't help and that I would be called by someone else from the office that afternoon, no call was ever received. I then rang the office several days later and asked what was happening and was told I would be called back but the call never came. Both me and my wife then rang back several times and on each occasion we were promised a call back but again no one ever called.

One week before the clay shoot I called and asked for a refund explaining that although my experience was only one week away I still had to idea where or when it was, I was then told that the owner of the shoot had been on holiday which was why they could not confirm the event, the lady then went on to say that due to lack of interest the shoot had been cancelled. I was then offered an alternative the very next day, which I couldn't attend.

Had I not called on that day I do not believe this company would have contacted me, the lady on the phone chose to argue rather then apologise and just stated to me that the booking was never confirmed. On asking again for a refund I was told they didn't offer refunds. I then asked for an address to complain to I was told "the address was on the card" I then asked who to address it to and was told Jessica, just "Jessica" no surname or department.

In a nutshell I could put my complaint in writing to the very person who had messed me about from the moment I made the booking to the point of complaint indicating that the letter would no doubt end up in the bin. This company appears to be run by a couple of individuals who are only interested in doing the absolute minimum for their customers.
