I saw an advert in the local Metro this week for a WHITE 18 piece dinner set that was cut down from? 17.00 to? 10.00. I picked up a number of items and headed to the tills to purchase my stock. I additionally got a IKEA family member discount card. On getting home I discover 2 things: 1. On my? 67.85 purchase I did not receive ANY discounts at all. 2. My Dinner set was sold at full price of? 17.00 and not the advertised? 10.00. I called customer servicesonly to be told that the Green 18 piece set was the only set that was on special. 1. This was not even the colour advertised. 2. All different colours were placed on the same pallet in store and under no circumstances did this even appear to be different Prices. The impression was that the White, Green and Black sets were all part of the same special. This quite honestly is shocking! The sales person commented that they had MANY calls on this regard - which just shows that I am not the only person that sees that this "false special" was advertised badly. Additionally your Membership Card is very poorly stated that you get discounts "maybe" and only on "certain items", unlike other companies.
