I bought a microwave from Homebase which had a faulty door. They kindly offered to replace it and a date was arranged when a new microwave would be delivered and the damaged one collected. The courier did not come on that date and when I contacted Homebase the next day I was told that the courier had come just before 22.00hrs and left a card through the door. There was no card and I was home and up at that time. A new date was arranged for two days later, no delivery. When I phoned that evening I was told that I was not on the courier's delivery schedule for that date. A third date was arranged and I was asked to phone Homebase at 9am that day to check if I was on the courier schedule. When I phoned I was advised that the microwave had only just left the depot and that I would only receive it some three or four days later. I told Homebase to cancel my delivery of a new microwave and refund me my money as I wasn't prepared to have a fourth delivery date. The supervisor was most unsympathetic to my problems and the frustration and inconvenience I had experienced. The microwave was delivered on the third date after all. They don't know what they are doing.
