The Daily Mail, also know as Mail Online has a history that is very dark. It is founded by a man named Lord Rothemere. Lord Rothermere (how someone becomes a Lord with his views is beyond me) was a vehement anti-Semite. He was also a friend of Adolph Hitlers and used The Daily Mail to further the Nazi cause. The Daily Mail today is owned and operated by Associated Newspapers Limited.
The Daily Mail has a version online called "mail online". They allow readers to make comments which are moderated by their staff. The problem is that they have chosen to take the path all too familiar in Europe of leftist Islamic Fanatic support and fear of Muslims (they will not print anything that blatantly will or may inflame the hypersensitivity of Britain's enormous and dangerous Muslim community) and a vehemently anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli position.
Though comments are allegedly moderated they regularly allow readers to post very anti-Semitic rhetoric even when the story has nothing to do with the comments posted.
Examples:
A Jewish University student was subjected to a barrage of anti-Semitic comments that culminated in a "Nazi" drinking game and his having got fed up and got punched in the nose.
Comments on the story, which all received great approval by the British readership, included comments such as "well why did he go" and "he probably deserved it" and degraded into a debate on Israeli policy, completely irrelevant to the actual article and unmoderated by those entrusted with moderating these posts.
Example two: Tel Aviv Voted Most Gay Friendly City in the World Beating Out New York, Who Came a Distant Second by 43%
Comments again were anti-Semitic and degraded into a bashing of Israel.
Example three:
An article about a Jewish man who fought a German Museum to get his parents art work back for years and finally won the battle. The artwork had been ceased by the Nazis and his family fled to USA.
Comments included a quote on the value of the artwork, estimated to be in the millions of US Dollars, and one poster quoted that and then commented, "that about sums it up"
Other comments permitted were 'WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO STOP GOING AFTER THINGS THEY DID NOT CARE ABOUT FOR YEARS? (THEY MEANING THE JEWS--I DID NOT KNOW THAT "THEY" SHOULD JUST LET THE GERMANS KEEP THE LOOT OF THOSE THEY MURDERED AND FORCED TO FLEE?). It went on to say, "THE GERMANS ARE UP AGAINST THE ROPES WITH THE STRONG ADL LOBBY, IT IS ABOUT TIME SOMEONE DOES SOMETHING ABOUT THIS"
Further comments were asking how much he, the son who won back his PARENTS' belongings, was going to pay in inheritance tax (they fled to USA they owe the Germans nothing-the Germans owe them IMHO for profiting for years off these stolen goods) and also whether he would be paying the Germans a "minders fee", one commenter even went on to say that he should pay for them having "taken such good care of the artwork as it appreciated in value".
These comments are just from the last two weeks. This is an inherent and consistent policy of The Daily Mail.
On the other hand state facts, such as the fact nobody complained about occupation when Britain occupied the Jewish homeland, or that nobody complained when Gaza and The Sinai were occupied by Egypt and the West Bank by Jordan, or that over 85% of all terror attacks planned since 9/11 were planned from Britain or British/Pakistani dual nationals-and you WILL be censored.
The simple fact is that Britain is overwrought both with anti-Semites as well as with Muslims and The Daily Mail refuses to change their anti-Semitic left wing biases and their fear that negative comments may lead to another terrorist attack in London.
I would like to see the European Union, and the UN and all the other talking heads who always have a comment on Israeli affairs to start to do something about European anti-Semitism, which is ever growing as the Muslim populations hold captive the people of Europe as hostages of fear of reprisals from their violent elements within their communities.
The Daily Mail should be shut down!
