I met a Texan guy who is currently residing in the UK for four years thru Internet and later on became friends. After became close, this conman said he is being told by his Director to go to Canada as he has to do some job there as the Department Head, he is working as an Engineer in a Mining Company. He even told me that he was later told by the Director to proceed to Venezuela to do additional work but sent an E-mail telling that he already sent me a parcel containing "gifts" such as a laptop, and some jewelleries and a big amount of pounds to be used to pay his Hotel for his visit and for renting his car while staying for few days here in Doha together with his young kid.
After three days of receving all the details of the parcel sent, I was told thru mail and phone call that the parcel had been held up by Customs, so I must pay a processing fee because it violated a certain shipping rule which was putting some currency which was not declared. The conman further persuaded me with a sad voice that the courier service did not accept payment through credit card so I was requested to do it and get the money from the parcel which he hid at the back of the laptop.
After the money was sent through Western Union under the name of their Account Officer to facilitate prompt service, there would still be no sign of the parcel but I have received a receipt of the payment made, obviously because they asked for another payment which according to them for the INsurance and VAT so there would be no problem once the parcel reached Doha. I am a victim of this scam. I paid them a total of $2362 usd. I thought it was real because my online friend even gave me the website to track my parcel (http://www.prodexscservice.com/index.htm). The parcel, according to this conman, is from Canada with laptop, jewelrys and 5, 600 pounds. I was told that the parcel will come at 12 noon but until now there is no call or sign that there is parcel. The conman's number is still ringing but obviously cancelling the call 44 7031888567. They still have their Malaysian number and it is still working: 60162302724 So, I share this to everyone because what they have conned me is a hard earned money. Infact I borrowed this money believeing that the parcel is real, and I really trusted the man who befriend me online. During that time he even call me oversease lots of times just to get my trust. So beware!
