Bad customer service, do not abide by their own terms, would not exchange goods Merseyside

This may seem a small complaint but it is the principle!

This company states no refunds but happily accepts exchanges. I contacted them and they refused, stating item was limited edition so no exchange. This was never stated on the item or in the terms of their service.
Tried again and they stated "not so long after ordering"
I ordered on the 22/7/09, the item arrived on the 28/7/09 (postage on package was 27/7/09)
Emailed on 29/7/09 to state an exchange was required so therefore this was not "so long after ordering"

This is a new up and coming company, not yet well known. You would have thought they would make the effort, so I would like people not to help this company "get well known" and never buy from them.

They make the rules up as they go along!
