The Lottery Dept. UK
Lottery ripoff Very persistent

We had recieved an e-mail stating that we won a 1, 000, 000.00 british pounds. WOW too good to be true, of course.

At first all they needed was our name and address so they know where to send the prize. Simple enough. The red flag came when we seem the e-mail address was a yahoo address to a Mr. Keegan.

So my husband (a retired cop) sends limited info. just to see how far they will go. Also informed them that copies are being kept and will be forwarded to the proper authorities.

They respond with a PO Box of the British online game 2007 headquarters. And tell us we need to contact Scarlet Couriers LTD @ [email protected] Aother red flag. This time Mr. Scott Watson the Dispatch manager.

Two days later we get an e-mail stating that we have to send anywhere from 510.00 to 610.00 pounds inorder to get our "winnings" or we have the option to give them an account number so they can directly deposit it. And stating that you have to provide a copy of passport or drivers license.

We responded by telling them to just take it out of our winnings. They then respond that the check is already made out that wouldn't be possible. But in the previous e-mail it was stated that you have one week to respond with the account # or wire them money, or it will be forfeited and reused in th next lottery.

And it gets better we then recieve an e-mail from a "lawyer" stating that his client has passed away and is able to recieve 16, 000, 000.00 but needs our help to do so.
