I live in a small town of about 3, 000 people, where people tend to be a little more trusting of each other, as is the 'small town' way. These scammers posted an ad under the "Help Wanted" section of our local newspaper.
This ad appeals because work around here can be hard to find at times, especially a job that does not consist of hard labor. This ad advertises a bookkeeping/secretarial position. However, the only contact information provided was an e-mail address.
It is common for businesses to advertise anonymously for help with only a mailing adress in their wanted ads. Also, because of our obvious continuing technological advancement, using e-mail as a mode of communication has become increasingly popular. So, I e-mailed them my resume.
They replied within 24 hours with a lengthy e-mail that has absolutely nothing to do with a bookkeeping position. There are so many red flags about this that it screams SCAM from every other sentence. I spent ten minutes searching Google for different associations, schools, and other smoke being blown around in the letter to trick you into giving them your bank information.
I can type the name of our local grocery store and pull up a map with an address, along with several other matching searches. So, when something can by typed into a search engine as massive as Google and have absolutely no matches, it is too suspicous to be trusted with the information for which they are asking.
Almost all of the associations listed are fake, including the one that "Terry Reynolds" is supposed to be on the board of directors. All the long names, schools, and associations (even the name of the company itself) are nothing but smoke being blown up you know where. Scams are so prevalent today, I hope no one falls victim to this ridiculous scheme.

Estate Salesperson. His belief in professionalism is proven through memberships in the London Auctioneer's Association (LAA), England Society of Agricultural Appraisals (ESAA) and the Retired Agriculture
Educators of London (RAEL). Terry is also serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the LAA. Through these organizations he continually attends professional improvement and educational seminars and workshops.
