Dear capital one customers, i am warning you to be very careful and very brave when dealing about any Fraud issue with them. They would make of exhausting you, so you would give up your right.

Indeed, i am in this situation. I have been a capital one card holder for 6 years without any complaints. But, in August a merchant PAY-MEDIAVENTLTD, already reported in here, has been fraudulently taking money from Capital One card. I reported it to Capital one, who first tried to convince me that i used that website before and maybe i didn't cancel it (what is not the case, as i never knew that website before seeing it in my Capital one statement). Then they decided to send me a dispute form, that i filled out.

After some weeks, they wrote to me to get in touch with the Merchant, as they couldn't do so on my behalf. After a long weeks of debating with Capital One, i decided to call the Merchant, and after an hour of arguments, they decided to refund me 2/5 of the refund, excluding the overlimit fee and purchase fee caused by the Merchant. This latter said that my credit card company should pay the rest (as my card is insured) and i should report to the police. I called back Capital One, and a manager called DANIEL promised me to sort this out within 45 days, as they were getting in touch with the merchant, and the latter had 45 days to reply. But he garanteed me that by March 10th, i would be fully refunded (including all the related charges).

On March 10th, he left a message on my home line that everything was sortd. i called the next to find out how much i was refunded. they tried to con me, by telling me that they refunded an amount which equals the 2/5 paid by the MERCHANT. I didn't give them a chance to carry on in this lie, and i presented them with all the sitation, from when i should be refunded, and how much, as everything was clear on my dispute form.

They promised to call me back on the same day, but no one did. And since yesterday, all the customer service staff are avoiding me taklking to that Daniel or an other manager, pretending that they are not on their desk, or they are in meetings, or they have said to tell you that... bla bla bla, because they are still not available... and this morning, the new pharse is, i would get a manager to call you... AND AFTER 10 CALLS I MADE, I STILL HAVEN'T GOT ANY MANAGER WHO GOT BACK TO ME...

I'm feeling like going to see a solicitor and warn the police. And, i'm thinking not to pay their bills anymore untile someone gets back to me!!!

This story started from August. and it's March the 13th. The Merchant has refunded 2/5 in February.
