I received an email giving me very formal, professional instructions to attend an online chat interview through Yahoo Messenger after sending my resume out to several Craigslist ads. This was a customer service representatative job that was supposed to pay $22/hour for BD Sanders Florist in the UK.
I was asked to answer a series of very general questions during the chat interview, e.g., what are your goals, your strengths and weakness, your communication abilities, etc., and told to do it within 25 minutes. Afterwards, Sean Jenifer told me that I had the job. He would forward me the documents to complete for employment and for my direct deposit paychecks. I gave him my banking information and other personal information. I was told to start training the next day at 9:00 a.m. through another chat session. Once online, he said that my instructions would be received via email. The email was 3 more general questions. Once my answers were submitted, he said that my first task would be to receive a cashiers check for my signing bonus and new equipment (a new laptop, printer/scanner/fax machine and phone). I would keep $200 and wire the remaining $3500 to Kathryn Soriano in VA. Of course, when I received the check and took it to my bank, they reported that it was fraud!
