I was robbed of 3850 plus the Tenants deposit of 1725 by the owner Mike Jaitley with the Directorship under his real name Rakesh Sharma. To try to make a long story very short which spans over 9 months. Mike Jaitly approached me directly as I had a house to let and he apparently had a Tenant, I thought nothing more of it over the following weeks. A week before Christmas with only a weeks noticed I had a tenant. (I checked out Pmc website to see that my house was advertised- unauthorised, with internal shots that had been taken 2 years previously and used with another agent?! the first alarm bell rang). The tenant paid her deposit, DECEMBERS RENT PLUS JAN AND FEB IN ADVANCE totally a little over 5k. I paid the agreed finders fee and an excessive inventory in fee, which was inacurate and of which I had supplied in the first place and had to extract from them 2 months later. January came and went, no money, after many call and emails I finally got a statement for Dec and Jan and supposidly a cheque attached, the staple mark was there but alas no cheque, blag followed (but I have an email paper trail, thankfully) and I finally told Mike when I would be in to COLLECT my money. February 9th, I collected a cheque, Mike was not there of course but the cheque was and it was post dated to the 15th! yep more blag followed. I made varous stipulations to future payments but alas March- no payment, April- no payment. So on the understanding that the Tenants were not paying Pmc took legal action (or so I thought) and served a section 8 notice and a 21, on May 4th. I had been told by Pmc, not to inspect the house while all this was going on as they could deem it as harrassment and might not go in our favour in court.By June 22nd I had heard nothing. I called my insurance who told me to go ahead with the very overdue house check I was also advised to try and claim despite the timeline had expired (up to 2months after first non payment). I requested from Pmc rent arrears details and asked for a relevent form to be filled in which did not happen of course. June 26th I did my house check of which I am grateful as it could of been alot worse. from that day on I collected the rent myself. The tenant new nothing of us serving notice and mearly thought we had asked her to leave (sec 21) at the 6 month break clause, Mike apparently told her not to worry about it! Anyway the rent HAD been paid, we went together to the Cookham Road office and meet with the accountant and showed him a bank statement, bankers draft reciept AND hand writen, non referenced, in anyway reciepts for the hand delivered cheques. The accountant who witnessed this would need time to check all this out and had no access to online banking... pleeeeze. At this point I also realised that the tenants deposit was not legally secured either. I used money claim online to persue this with a claim being issued 13/7/09, awarded in my favour but unforfilled 6/9/09 Pmc having filled for bancruptcy. 2 weeks prior to this Mike was answering the phone at the London office and his website was parading London properties for sale and rent. Mike Jaitley aka Rakesh Sharma has robbed me, why should he be allowed to get away with it?
