I had taken a pair of Jeans and trouser to the Essi Dry Cleaners for alteration (both to be taken up). On collection and inspection of the items both had been done shoddily. When I mentioned this to the alterations person he said they were done well. The trouser has gathering and were not pressed and sewn properly. Just a simple stitch and also with the jeans. Both look very messy and the finish is appalling. I then asked for the manager. He said they were fine, but if I want I could have them re-done. I said no as I needed them straight away plus I did not trust them as the manner was pretty abrupt and rude. I told them both the jeans and trouser were expensive, nearing £300.00 each and with the finish it has made them look no were near what they looked like when I purchased them. I then called the manager a week later to tell him I was not happy. It got pretty irate and angry on the phone. I also forgot to mention when i was in the shop on collection, I said I was not paying for the trouser as they were the worse and didn't want any trouble so I paid for the jeans which cost £9.95. The manager asked me for £10.00. When i handed over the money, he didn't give any change. I then mentioned it cost £9.95 and not £10.00. He then gave me the change. I didn't feel I was treated well in the shop and didn't want to cause argument etc as the manager was not entirely honest and understanding and ended up shouting at me when I call him which has made me make the complaint for the incompetence and his manner etc. I will submit photos to you soon.
