Mpaid £14, 360 for a BMW X3 on 15th October took it to my garage in Cardiff for them to check it over and they said the steering rack needed replacing. not safe to drive and aslo insurance would not cover an accident. the car had an AA approved sticker on it. Also back heated window not working.
I only had one key and through the week had phoned on 4 occasions to requet them to look for the key and they all said ok we will call you back. No call received.
Booked the car into Evans Halshaw in Cardiff and when the looked at the car they couldnot do it without authorisation from Gloucester as the cost was £2500 and that could take 5 days.so I am 71 a widow and I have no car to drive. I called the manager who was very rude and said that it wasn't his problem anymore as I had taken it into Cardiff. when I told him about the problem and said it was dangerous to drive he informed me that they would let me drive it if it was dangerous. I replied well you let me drive it from Gloucester to Cardiff. What about the AA inspection whereupon he said they must of missed it.
I went through to the complaints team who told me he would call me in half an hour but he diddt phoned complaints again and the girl I was speaking to was busy and was going to ring me back.
Yes you have guessed it still waiting. The manager was even rude to the Evans Halshaw team in Cardiff they were amazed at his rudeness, Cardiff have been great. but Evans Halshaw are a franchise so tar the all with the same brush
