In August, we flew Gulf Air from Dhaka to France and London. Often, we travel for work and we used to use Emirates and they have been very good except for on one occasion a Chinese air hostess made me miss my connecting flight telling that she would inform the airline and in fact she hadn't. This time we chose Gulf Air because it was quite reasonable. For the same reason we used to use Qatar air when they were new and they were wonderful. But, unfortunately they became very popular and now they are unaffordable for us.
The trip going to Europe wasn't bad but coming back was terrible. The entire place stank, there was one air hostess who kept shouting and insulting a Bengali man for not controlling his child. She said, if you do not shut your child's mouth, the Business class passengers will be disturbed. I thought that was inhuman, the woman should not be an air hostess, she should join the army. Then, when they brought tea, I was given a plastic cup with a broken handle. I have a photo if you want me to prove it. The staff is inexperienced and did not know how to handle difficult passengers. Probably if one of them reacted to their unreasonable behavious, they would have either complained that he or she was misbehaving. The head of the crew was acting too high up to the passengers, thinking his passengers were only labourers. Of course, most of the passengers in economy were Bengali labourers working in the Gulf, going home for Eid. As a result, the toilets were filthy, some who did not know how to use the toilet had sat on top and made them dirty. I held myself tight and avoided going to the toilet. As a result I ended up having a bad infection. There should be at least a person engaged in the aircraft to clean the toilets regularly when you know that there are also passengers like us who are used to using clean toilets. Why do you fly an airline which does not meet the simplest needs of people. Let alone all the shortcomings, at least it should be hygienic and the staff should learn to respect the passengers whether they are poor or otherwise. Disgraceful.
