I am 19 years old an needed a quick short term loan.
Innocently, i contacted Direct Loans Uk and filled out their online application form. My application was subsequently declined.
However a few days later £58 was deducted from my account. I queried this with Direct Loans UK and was told it was 'admin fees' and was non refundable.
A further £15 was deducted a week later.
I am in receipt of ESA and partially sighted, and this is my only form of income.
Today i went to my bank to check my account and Direct Loans UK had deducted a further £53.90 from my account! It surely is no coincidence that Direct Loans UK only take money from my account on the day that my ESA is paid in!
My loan application was refused, yet they have deducted almost £140 from my account in less than a month. I would not have approached them in the first place if I had that amount of money to spare!
My bank are investigating this as fraud but it will be at least 2 weeks before this is concluded and in the meantime I have £50 for 2 weeks to support myself.
My advice is to stay well clear of Direct Loans Uk, they are thieves.
