In January I took out Insurance with Budget. Paying a deposit of? 140.00. I received a letter a few weeks after saying I need to send them my no claims by The 18th February or my insurance will be cancelled. I sent this the next day on First class post (9th). Then on the 20th I received a letter saying my policy is cancelled and I owe them? 88.00...? 75.00 being a Cancellation fee. So I called them (after being on the phone for over an hour) and they claim that the? 140 deposit is non refundable and I still owe them? 88.00. I explained that I sent the no claims proof on the 9th and they claim to not have received it.
They offered to waive the cancellation fee if I took out insurance with them, yet doubled the previous monthly price I had to pay before and having to pay? 150.00 deposit. I was then passed to a "team leader" who was just as rude and obnoxious as the previous guy.
Just a tip stay away from these **** artists.
