I am now another victim of the Wentworth Direct Finance Loan application fee scam. I could kick myself for giving my card details to these b... tards in the first place. I immediately cancelled my card which has been an inconvenience and brought the matter up with my bank who informed me that I should never give out my card details to anyone. I feel like a complete naive idiot.
What surprises me is that this scam has been going on for a long time. Some of the dates on the various website threads are really quite old. I can't believe that such a blatant scam is still allowed to continue. Wentworth management should be well behind bars by now. Years later and thousands possibly millions of pounds better off they are still at it. Ripping candidates off with their expensive phone line, possibly selling your contact details on as well as illegally taking fees off applicants.
This is the sort of thing one would expect in a place like Nigeria, but UK?!!!
I have informed watchdog and about to contact OFT and Ombudsman.
I can only say that the more people who file complaints with these organisations then the more chances that something will be done.
I would be willing to kiss goodbye to my £59 just to see these Wentworth lot put away along with all who are associated with them.
To all those who have been ripped off by these scum, don't just winge about it.
