Life Cleanse
Free 15 day trial of Life Cleanse Loose product

Approximately a month ago (I think approx 17 June) I came across an advertisement on my yahoo email website of a FREE TRIAL weight loss tablets named Acai Burn. The advertisement suggested that I should also consume Life Cleanse Tablets in order to complete the recommended diet program. Hence, I ordered the Free Trial Acai Burn tablets and also requested for the Free Trial Life Cleanse Tablets.

I only expected to be charged the postage fee, however, on 7/7/09 I was charged £76.25 and on 20/7/09 for £74.53. I received the Trial package approx 24 June - I did not open it because I was going on holidays with my sister on 2 July for 3 weeks and thought I'll try it out when I return. I returned from my holidays on 19 July and I looked into my account statement on 23 July and saw that I was charged £76.25 on 7/7/09 and £74.53 on 20/7/09 by them.

I called their UK office on 23 July on (020) 3139 9027 and enquired why I was charged that amount when all I should have been charged for was the £4 for delivery and that I only wanted the free trial package to try it out first and consider ordering supplies later.

I was told by customer service lady said that the terms and conditions says I have only 15 days to call their office and cancel the membership otherwise I will automatically be charged membership fees and monthly supplies commences automatically.

I am very upset and distressed about this because I was not clearly being advised that this was the ‘catch’. Before I clicked yes to go ahead with the trial order and pay for the delivery fees I spent more than half an hour reviewing the acai burn website site (which was very long: http://www.acaiburnmax.com/? gclid=CJbHx8vl_5sCFV8B4wodMHSW_w) to see what the catch was. Information provided with your free trial package DID NOT clearly advise me of this condition, the automatic subscription.By that time its been half an hour and I felt it wasnt worth anymore of my time reading further and thought, well I only have to pay for the delivery fees of £4, thats ok, I dont want to have to look further into if its only loosing out on £4. So I click order and put in my credit card details. Then the next stage was to also order the Life Cleanse product. I thought it was one company. But when I received the products separately, I realised their 2 different companies.

When I returned from holiday I received a 2nd batch of the Life Cleanse product and thats when I looked at my account and saw that I was charged approx £75 per batch and not just the £4 for handling.

It may be in their terms and conditions but it appears to be the only place where you have directed viewers of this. I feel very deceived and mislead. I think they have obviously done it on purpose to distract my concentration endurance with all the stories and recommendations and instructions of how it all works that by the time I got to inserting all my details the terms and conditions was too much to bear for careful review. It makes me feel, well, I've gotten this far and its only £4 so I may aswell press 'order'.

But as soon as I realised this I contacted them and demanded for a refund. I have cancelled the membership by telephone and I have not opened the 2 bottles. I have returned the 2 bottles to Karn Tech Ltd, Unit 6, 15-17 Caledonian road, Po Box 226 London, N19DX. on 28 July And called their customer service line on on (UK) 08082389891 on 28 July and spoke with Phillip whom said I should get the full refund.

But on 30 July I received an email from them saying because the conditions were set in the Terms and Conditions saying that I have to call back within 15 days and because I did not do so, they wont refund me. So I called Phillip again today on 31 July and he says that the can refund me for the 2nd bottle but not for the 1st. I said I have not benefited from this package as it is still unopened and the SEAL is still on. He says there is a period provided and I have not responded so I am in default even if I have returned it unsused and unopened.

I am very upset because the product charged is £75! not £5 - something they DID NOT advertise how much the full bottle would cost! I have not used it, I have returned it yet I am still charged for the full price? I can understand limitation periods but I can at least expect a Credit Note or something???

I feel mislead and distressed for being charged for products I have not decided to order. This lesson has taught me not to give free trial packages another go in the future.

Regards
