I saw an advert for Diamond Lengths on Gumtree and thought I would give it a try as I really wanted nice hair extensions, and even though Yasmine is quite expensive, i thought I didnt mind paying a premium for nicer hair. I arranged to meet Yasmine for a free consultaion. This went fine, and I found Yasmine was helpful etc, I chose the hair colours I wanted and she said she would order these in for Saturday, she asked me to leave a deposit which I did, and I arranged to see her a few days later to put the extensions in. Firstly a day before she called me to ask if we could change the appointment to one hour earlier, which was fine with me. However once I had arrived at her Flat promptly at 10am, she called me to say she was still in bed and that I would have to go away for a couple of hours. This was annoying, however I decided to go to Clapham to pass some time. When I finally returned to Yasmines, I was shocked to discover she had not ordered my hair as promised and that she would have to use left over hair. I thought this was a cheek considering the amount I was paying. Since I had a party to go to and I really needed my hair done, I reluctantly had to agree. The colours were not even the ones I had chosen!! I had also chosen 24 inch hair, and Yasmine had 18 inch hair, but swore that is was 24 inch!! I am not stupid and it was completley obvious that the hair was NOT 24 inch!! She put the hair in, it took her 2 hours. I am not beeing picky here, but my hair is extremely thick and I know that this should not have taken 2 hours, as I have had hair extensions previously. I was shocked to see how little hair she had actually put it, and it was far too thin for my hair and looked wispy. She tried to cut my hair to blend it in but it still looked awful. I wasnt happy! Yasmine told me that she had another appointment and that if I was still not happy then I should contact her to arrange another appointment. I tried to contact Yasmine to see her again so that she could put more hair in, she ignored all my calls and emails!!! I am therefore posting this complaint to stop others from getting conned this way. Her hair certainly isnt as expensive as she tries to make out as I found the company that sell the hair and they are much cheaper than what she claims.
I have since found out that Yasmine isnt even qualified in hair extensions, as I have since found someone else who is trying to sue Yasmine and has discovered this information. I would urger people to save their hard earned money and avoid Yasmine at all costs. There are other genuine hair extension technicians out there who will give you a MUCH better sevice at a lot less.
