Simply Angelic would recruit a presentable, non smoking nanny for our three children. Being overseas the agency was responsible for the selection and interviewing of appropriate candidates. The nanny that appeared most suitable over the phone turned out to be a smoker and to have six tattoos across her shoulders which is not appropriate for the conservative environment our family lives in (Middle East). This nanny resigned in short period of time because she did not like the age group. We were aghast. We had to pay her visa fees GBP 800 and full salary, return flights etc and this all fpor a period of two months that she lasted.
We had to pay GBP 5.500 for the recruitment service of the agency and were provided with a replacement nanny. She was too fat to be able to walk up and down the street with ONE child (and we have three under threes). That lady left within a week claiming the job was not for her. This cost us another return flight plus salary.
The third nanny (Christine Mason) provided by the agency came highly recommended and the agency had explained to this nanny that they were surprised that we had not selected her in the first place. After two days with us, Christine Mason claimed to have sprained her ankle and suggested to fly back to the UK after which she would come back (she left us an empty suitcase to prove her intentions). She wanted to be paid in cash for the days worked. We bought a return flight and were then notified by text that she preferred not to join us. We were in shock.
The agency is absolutely horrendous in their service. Three nannies that were either not meeting our requirements or were outright liars. The agency has not helped in recovering the money from Christine Mason that we were owned pursuant to the agreement signed between her and us (Where the agency was supposed to assist us which they did not do either).
We would not recommend Simply Angelic or Glyn as and intermediary for the recruitment of a suitable nanny. I have all correspondence for those that are interested in reviewing the details. It was shocking.
